Vicki Harris, 45, of Rt. 1, Sumner, died Thursday, Sep. 28, 1995, at her residence with her family at her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sep. 30, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Yarbrough officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Harris was born March 17, 1950, in Paris, a daughter of Charlie and Gayle Wisely Ball. She graduated from the Central school and Paris Junior College. On Feb. 18, 1967, she married Phil Harris in Sumner. She had been an employee of Red Ball Motor Freight Company at St. Joseph's Hospital & Health Center. She was a member of the Sumner United Methodist Church and of the Young Homemakers of Texas.

Surviving are her husband, Phil E. Harris, of Sumner; three daughters, Delesha Jeffery and her husband Casey of Sumner, Dawnetta Flippen and her husband Mike of Reno and Deaundra Harris of Sumner; three grandchildren, Olivia Fouse and Emily Fouse, both of Sumner, and Morgan Flippen of Reno; her mother, Gayle Dicken of Sumner; a brother, Bob Ball of Sumner; a sister, Ginger Grimes of Sumner; and her grandmother, Ola Ann Wisely of Paris.

Named to serve as pallbearers are Corey Young, J. C. Howell, J. L. Wideman, Duane Hamil, Billy Dennis and Buddy Carter.
