O. B. 'Bob' Immesote, 56, of Hutchinson died Oct. 19, 1997, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita, Kansas.
He was born Nov. 15, 1940 at Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of O. B. and Beulah Leota Dewater Immesote. A lifetime Hutchinson resident he was a Correctional Officer at Jefferson City, Mo. and Hutchinson Correctional Facility, worked for the Buhler School District, and Union Valley School, and was a Truck Driver for many years.
He belonged to the Veterans of Forign Wars. He was a Marine Corps , Veteran.
He married Kathy Blazina Cox at Miami, Okla. She survives.
Other survivors include five sons, David Immesote, Camden, N. J., Ivan Cox, Richard Cox, and Michael Immesote, all of Hutchinson, and Douglas Cox, Kansas City, Kans., four daughters, Wendy Evel, Hutchinson, Patricia Simonsick, Buhler, Kimberly Kruse, and Anna Immesote, both of Lyons, Ks., a brother, Phillip Immesote, Joplin, Mo.; a sister, Sue Szulakiewiez, Neosho, Mo.; and 14 grandchildren.
He was proceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Gladys Louise Immesote Davis, Sharolyn Kay Immesote Cameron, and two brothers, Russell Keith Immesote, Stephen Immesote.
Prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Buhler Mortuary. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary, with Seminarian Robert Simonsick presiding. Friends may call from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and the Family will rreceive friends from 6 to 8:30 p. m. Wednesday, all at the Funeral home. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Oncology Unit, in care of the Funeral Home, Wichita, Kansas.
