I believe Harvey is buried in Mt Zion (previously known as Deer Creek) Cemetery. My reason for believing this is as follows:

His wife, Lourhannah, was buried here in 1889. She lived very near the town of Colony and her funeral was held in the Liztown Schoolhouse. Both the Colony Cemetery and the Ozark #1 (known by locals as the Liztown Cemetery) would have been far closer than going clear over to the Mt Zion Cemetery. Today it isn't far, due to vehicles and gravel roads. However, Mt Zion Cemetery is out in the middle of nowhere and in that time period, it would have been ridiculous to go that far by horse and buggy on rutted dirt roads in the middle of winter (Jan 1889). They wouldn't have done it without a very good reason. In addition, Harvey & Lourhannah's daughter, Alpharetta Johnson Pitchford, was already buried in the Liztown Cemetery just nine years earlier, so Lourhannah already had family buried nearby (just about 1 mile away from where her funeral was, in fact). So why not bury her at Liztown or Colony? Why Mt Zion?

I very strongly believe the reason her surviving children, Sarepta Johnson Rhodes, Allen Johnson and Rosa Anna Johnson Bain, buried their mother at Mt Zion is because that is where their father was buried and they wanted her to be buried next to him. Perhaps she wanted it as well.

Unfortunately, Harvey died before the Colony Free Press newspaper began operation, so there would have been nowhere to announce his death. Harvey's birth and death date are recorded in the family bible, but not his burial place. Since the Mt Zion Cemetery is badly deteriorated and so many stones are long gone, it is unlikely anyone will ever be 100% certain that he is, in fact, buried there. But, based on my research and going to these cemeteries many times, I'm about as certain as anyone can get, without an actual stone itself or physical paper record, that he is buried there next to Lourhannah(even though her grave is another that is now unmarked…her burial is recorded in the Colony Free Press news).
