John R. Woodrum died at his home, 1280 West Green street early Saturday morning, death caused by the infirmities of age.
Mr. Woodrum was born in Casey county, Ky. May 11, 1845. He and Miss Miranda Gilpin were married there in 1867. Mrs. Woodrum died several years ago. All his active life has been devoted to farming. He had resided in Decatur the last 35 years and was a member of the Christian church.
He is survived by the following children: Steward Woodrum, Seburn Woodrum, Zeorus Woodrum, Mrs. Cora Walters and Mrs. Daisy Howell, all of Decatur, Mrs. Cordelia Spear of Campbellville, Ky., Grover Woodrum of Latham and Mrs. Pearl Morris of Flat River, Miss.; sister, Mrs. Gene Gilpin of Wilsonville, Neb.
Burial will be in the Harristown cemetery.
