Ida Moreau Desautel, 84, formerly of Brooks, died Monday at St. John's Hospital in Red Lake Falls.

Services are at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks. Burial will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Terrebonne. Visitation begins at 3 p.m. Thursday at Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls, with a wake service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be held Friday at the church, one hour before the service.

Born July 12, 1900, in Poplar River Township to Peter and Idella Champagne, she grew up in the Brooks area and Married Joseph Moreau in 1920 at Brooks. After living in Brooks and Canada, the couple moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1932. They returned to Brooks in 1938 and lived there until 1952, when the couple returned to Milwaukee. Mr. Moreau died in 1956. In 1970 She returned to Brooks and Married Louis Desautel. He died in 1974. She moved to South Milwaukee in 1976 and remained there until 1983, when she became a resident of Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls.

She is survived by two sons, Clarence Champagne of Chamberlain, South Dakota, and Jerry "Sonny" Champagne of West Allis, Wisconsin; three daughters, Della Larson of South Milwaukee, Delores Hurbert of Denver, Colorado, and Ione Lessard of south Milwaukee; four brothers, Walter Champagne of Everette, Washington, Amedie Champagne Oklee, Arthur Champagne of Milwaukee and Albert Schampagne of Madison, Wisconsion; six sisters, Della LeFave of Saskatchewan, Canada, Anna Lussier of Brooks, Cora Britton of Thompson, North Dakota, Louise Mercil of Brooks, Doria Carriere of Brooks and Florence Fortier of North St. Paul; 29 Grandchildren and with great grandchildren.
