John R. Burks, living about six miles northwest of Iberia, one of Miller County's oldest and most highly respected citizens, died Monday of an illness of several months duration. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 4th at the Livingston Cemetery by Rev. E.M. Vance, after which the body was consigned to the tomb in the presence of a large gathering of friends and relatives. We extend condolence to the bereaved.
