Monte Lasater, known and respected for his many years of faithful and untiring service to the Church, passed away on March 28, 1959.
Evangelist Lasater was holding a series of meetings in Oregon at the time of his fatal heart attack. He had served as Bishop of the Northwest District for many years, until 1957 when he was ordained to the office of Patriarch.
The funeral service was held on April 2nd, with Evangelist Alma Johnson officiating. The burial was held at the Acacia Cemetery in Seattle.
