-- Mrs. Nancy (Nan) Jane Brooks, 68, of 1302 Confedrate Ave., died at a local hospital early Wednesday morning after a short illness.
She was born at Chester, and was a member of Jackson Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marvin Sammons of Columbia and Mrs. William A. Halford of Barnwell; one sister, Mrs. Belle Coleman of Union, and three brothers, John and Melvin Beam of Rock Hill and Robert Beam of Chester.
Funeral services will be held at 5 pm today at Jackson Creek Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. H. Eugene Lee. Interment will be in Jackson Creek Baptist Church Yard.
Active pallbearers will be deacons of Jackson Creek Baptist Church.
Friends may call at Talbert Funeral home and at 1302 Confederate Ave.
