Mrs. Mary Katherine Hipskind, 81, died Sunday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock in the home of her son, Walter, 757 North Wabash street. Death was due to complications following burns which Mrs. Hipskind received some time ago.
She was born in Urbana May 31, 1865 to Jacob and Christine (Lauer) Eiler. She was married June 6, 1887 to Theodore Hipskind and has resided in Wabash since 1885.
The decedent was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Order of Eastern Star. The Star will hold twilight services Tuedsay evening at 7:30 o'clock in the Wire Funeral home.
In addition to the husband, she is survived by one son, Walter, with whom she and Mr. Hipskind have been living for several months, a daughter, Mrs. Ed Wolf, Urbana, two brothers, Philip Eiler, Joliet, Ill., and Albert, whose address is unknown; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Young and Miss Emma Eiler, Wabash, eight grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. One son, Elmer, died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the wire Funeral home with the Rev. Walter Luedtke officiating. #Burial will be in Falls cemetery. Friends may call at the Wire Funeral home after 7 o'clock Monday evening.
