died: August 30, 2009 at Pink Bud Nursing Home in Greenwood, Arkansas.
Survivors include her husband Richard P. "Dick" Hicks, son Jimmy Hicks and wife Diana, son-in-law Cody Hayes, two brothers, Martel Mixon of Jasper, Tx. and Kelley Mixon of Houston, Tx., sister Juanita Baggett of Kinder, La., five grandchildren, Patrick Hayes, Jennifer Gillium, Justin Hayes, James Hicks, Jr. and Leslie Hayes and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Hicks/Hayes.
