Mrs. Gardner Dies at Daughter's Home
Mrs. Orpha Gardner, 74, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ivan Baldwin, 202 West Graham street, after an illness since June.
The body was removed to the Beck memorial home pending arrangements.
She was born in March, 1864, in Wilmington. Her parents died when she was a child and she moved to Leroy with her sister, Mrs. M.J. Green, where she resided until her marriage Jan. 20, 1884, to Samuel Gardner. She came to Bloomington 25 years ago after the death of her husband.
She is survived by four children, Mrs. Baldwin, Mrs. Leta Winstead, 617 East Walnut street; Fred, Detroit, Mich., and Earl, Joliet. There are six grandchildren.
