Mary A. Calvert was born at New Diggings, Wisconsin, August 11, 1849 and died at her home in Shullsburg April 21, 1916. She was united in marriage with Thomas Jackson Dec. 28, 1874, and to this union were born 7 children, two of whom died in infancy.
The five surviving are: Mrs. Emma McCormack, Shullsburg, Mrs. Minnie Thomas, Darlington, Frank, Shullsburg, Thomas and Jennie who resided at home with the mother.
The funeral was conducted from the home Sunday, April 23rd and the remains were interred in the cemetery at New Diggings.
