Clifford Collett was the son of James and Martha Quick Collett. On March 21, 1892 he married Anna Pauline Haman in Metamora,Franklin Co., Indiana. He and Anna had two children - a son Willard (who died at the age of 25) and a daughter Ethel Collett.

The following is from obituary published on Monday December 31, 1951:

"William Collett Succumbs Sunday; Funeral Wednesday"

Frankton, Dec. 31 - William Clifford Collett, 82, of Frankton, died Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ethel Layne, where he had made his home since the death of his wife, Oct. 17, 1950.

Survivors include the daughter, Mrs. Layne; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Logan of Brookville, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The body is at the King funeral home in Frankton, where friends will be received after 6 o'clock this evening. The family has asked that no flowers be sent.

Funeral rites will be held Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home at 2 o'clock. Rev. O. C. Stroup, pastor of Frankton Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be made in the I.O.O.F. and K. of P. cemetery at Frankton.
