Robert M. Alder Jr., 70, 1923 South A Street, died Tuesday at his home.
Born Nov. 11, 1923 in Elwood, he was the son of Robert and Pansy Haman Alder Sr.
He married Melba Rich Aug. 19, 1962. She died January 8, 1992.
He retired from the Elwood Post Office.
He was a member of the Elwood American Legion, AARP, NRA, and was a Marine veteran of World War II.
Survivors include one son, Don Rich of Claypool; one daughter, Gilda E. Scott of Swayzee; two sisters, Naomi Kelley and Catherine Thawl, both of Elwood; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the Copher & Fesler Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Elwood City Cemetery.
There will be no calling.
