Dr. John Marshall Barkley, many years ago located at Farmers' Retreat, died Thursday at is home at Riverside, Cincinnati, following and illness of several weeks. Dr. Barkley was sevety-three.
He was a thirty-second degree Mason, a Shriner, Odd Fellow, and Knight of Pythias.
Shriners conducted the funeral at the residence Friday, and the body was taken to Dillsboro for burial Saturday.
