Emily Zella Sweek, 91, of Joshua, Texas, died Aug. 31, 2009, at her home.Service is 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.She was born June 11, 1918, in Mineral Wells, the daughter of Jasper Chester and Nellie Jane Stephens Liles. She married Oran Nye Sweek on Dec. 9, 1939, in Palo Pinto. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of Lawn Terrace Baptist Church.Survivors include sons, Michael Sweek, of Mineral Wells, and Dannis Sweek, of Aledo, Texas; daughters, Clovyne Blair, of Joshua, and Debbie Carter, of Mineral Wells; and numerous grandchildren and other family.She was preceded in death by her husband on March 18, 1996; and a son, Rayford Sweek, in 1997.
