Tressie Bridgwood Prost, 87, of Hayti, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at the Pemiscot Nursing Home in Hayti.
Born Sept. 28, 1917, in Caruthersville, Mo., daughter of the late Dustin Williams and Tressie Bridgwood Wilks, she was a homemaker and was employed by the Caruthersville School District. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Caruthersville.
On Feb. 15, 1939, in Caruthersville, she married L.A. "Lucky" Prost, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one sister Mary Virginia Wilks.
Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann Prost, of Helena, Mont., and Margaret Bullington, of Caruthersville; three sons, Dick Prost, of Manchester, Mo., Donald Prost, of Jefferson City, Mo. and William Prost, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., ad 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10, at the Sacred Heart Church in Caruthersville with Father Alan Saunders officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
