Denise Atlman King, 41, died Monday morning (August 31, 2009) in Emory University Hospital of Atlanta following a brief illness.

She was a native and life-long resident of Ware County and had attended the Waycross School System. She was a member of Astoria Baptist Church but attended Williams Chapel Baptist Church. She was a former receptionist with the Lyle Chiropractic Clinic for fifteen years. She was preceded in death by her father Gerald Altman and a brother, Bobby John Altman.

Survivors include her husband of twenty-three years, Everett King of Waycross; a daughter, Tiffany Ebersole (husband Matthew) of Waycross; a son, Scott King of Savannah; her mother Peggy Griffis Altman of Waycross; two sisters, Lisa Dodd (husband Gary) of Hinesville and Christina Copeland (husband John) of Waycross; a brother, Kenny Altman (wife Sandy) of Waycross and numerous other relatives.

A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday (September 3, 2009) at Music Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Music Funeral Home.
