Mrs. Irene Klinkhardt, 71, of Route 1, Caruthersville, died Oct. 3, 1987 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. Born Dec. 12, 1915 in Bath Springs, Tenn., she was the daughter of J.K. and Bessie Stephens Alton. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a retired secretary for Caruthersville School District.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph T. Klinkhardt of Route 1, Caruthersville; Four daughters, Mrs. Barbara Turley of Keokuk, Iowa, Mrs. Marliss Back of Cardwell, Diana Klinkhardt of Wallingford, Pa., and Debbie Klinkhardt of Little Rock; Her mother, Mrs. Bessie Stephens Alton of Caruthersville; One sister, Mrs. Jo Marie Jean of Caruthersville; And three grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Rev. Fergus Monaghan officiating, with burial in Little Prairie Cemetery, Dean Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.
Pallbearers were Keith and Darrell Jean, Marty Gallaher, Ted Smalley, Troma Jones and Jimmy, George and James Klinkhardt.
