Mrs. Genevieve Arant Shuler, 99, of Bowman, SC died Tuesday, May 5, 2015. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Bowman Southern Methodist Church with burial at Bowman Memorial Cemetery. Dr. Bill Davidson and Pastor John Konieczko will officiate.
Pallbearers are Sammy Goad, Aaron Goad, Randy Shuler, Kevin Bair, Kirt Bair, Jeff Searson, Jacob Bair and Joshua Searson.
Mrs. Shuler was born January 24, 1916 in Bowman, SC, a daughter of the late George Henry Arant and the late Anna Felder Arant. She was a graduate of Bowman High School and worked many years for Bow Car Manufacturing. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Benton Shuler; brothers Everett P. Arant and G. Harold Arant and sister, Mable Hodge. Mrs. Shuler will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her unselfish devotion to her love ones and her Lord. Her love of cooking and sharing with the sick brought her great joy.
Survivors include a son, Reginald B. Shuler (Sadie) of Bowman, a daughter, Claudia S. Bair (Mac) of Bowman; grandchildren, Sybil S. Goad (Sammy) of Fancy Gap, VA., Dawn B. Searson (Jeff) of Orangeburg, Kevin M. Bair (Angie) of Orangeburg, Randall B. Shuler (Cindy) of Bowman and Kirt D. Bair (Brenda McClure) of Summerville; great grandchildren, Jessica G. Whorley (Justin), Aaron Goad, Haley Searson, Chloe Bair, Jacob Bair, Ansley Bair, Joshua Searson, Daryn Bair, Jordon Gunnells and Jessica Gunnells and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her caregiver, Alfrieda Cadogen for her devoted compassion and loving care that she gave to our Mother for many years. We would like to thank Dr. Anna Price for her compassion care that she gave over the years and to the Regency Hospice for the comfort and support given to us her last days.
