Fred Bloxham was born at Green Lake Wis., Jan. 12, 1877, and accompained his parents to Osage when he was a young child. He grew to manhood there. He served as bank examiner for 10 years, living in Mason City and Waterloo. Before coming to Osage in 1946 to become owner of the Bloxham hotel, known previously as the Sullivan hotel, they spent 10 years in Grundy Center.
He was an active Rotarian during his years in Osage, and was a member of the Masonic lodge.
Because of ill health, Mr. and Mrs. Bolxham retired five years ago, selling the hotel in Osage to Mrs. and Mrs. Leslie Midlang. They were residents of Rest Haven in Fort Dodge for a time, and for the past two years Mr. Bloxham was in Excelsior Springs, and Mrs. Bloxham was a resident of the Osage Nursing home.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen, and one sister, Miss Betty Bloxham, Fort Dodge.
