Reuben James Balzer
Reuben James Balzer, 75, of Ashland, died Tuesday (Jan. 25, 2000) at Farmington Square. No service is planned.

He was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Minneapolis. On July 4, 1976, in Kensington, Calif., he married Nancy Menken, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1992 from Manchester, Calif. Mr. Balzer was a medical doctor in California prior to his retirement. He enjoyed bicycling, backpacking, hiking and cross-country skiing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include five children; two stepchildren; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
