Clara Frances Adams, 90, of Andrews, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, in an Andrews hospital.
She was a native of Cherokee County, where she had lived most of her life. Francis was the daughter of the late Harvey and Sarah Martin, Adams. She had previously owned her own restaurant in Andrews and loved to cook for family and friends. Francis was given the nickname of "Tat" because she enjoyed and was an expert at the handiwork of Tatting. She love to share her finished Tatted pieces with family members and also with friends. She was a member of the Valley River Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by five brothers; John, Earl, Roy, Gurd, and Jay Adams; six sisters; Mary Raxter, Nettie Best, Effie Luther, Laura Young, Lura and Lois Adams. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. Francis was a wonderful person and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services were held Friday, Nov. 20, in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with the Rev. Steve West officiating. Burial was in the Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews was in charge of all arrangements.
