George W. Swalley, 72, died at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Rose Lawn nursing home, West Lafayette. He was born July 12, 1891, in Coshocton, a son of John and Mary Watson Swalley and was first married to Ruth Matthews, who is deceased. He later married Edna Parks, who died in 1953. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Beverly) L. Baker, Newcomerstown; one sister, Mrs Carl (Mary) Miller; two granddaughters. Burial will be in South Lawn cemetery.
