Obituary published in the Jasper NewsBoy on Thursday, March 18, 1982, page 6A, column 1: "John H. Booth, 81, of Jasper, died March 12 in a local hospital following an illness. Services were Monday at J.O. Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery here. Formerly a Groves resident, he had been in Jasper four years. He had been a member of Steamfitters Local 195 some 35 years, and was a World War I Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Booth of Jasper, two sons, Johnny Booth of California and Donald Booth of Temple; two brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren."
