Death of Levi White.

Levi White died in the town of Ossian Friday, aged 82 years. Funeral services were held at H. A. Duryea's chapel Tuesday at 2 p. m., Rev. Gardner officiating. The remains were placed in the receiving vault at Oakwood cemetery and interment will be made later at Ossian. The deceased leaves a son, William White of Ossian, and a daughter, Mrs. Sutherland of Dalton.

********************************

There is no longer a headstone here for Levi.

It was removed by a thoughtless caretaker and placed in a pile along the west side of the cemetery, with a number of other headstones. The caretaker wanted the area free of obstacles so he could mow the grass with less obstructions. How he figured he would put them all back correctly, is anyone's guess?!?!?!
