Born, September 24, 1918 in Florance, WA, to Ed and Mary Husby, she has spent most of her life living in Stanwood, WA.
Rags was active in many groups; Stanwood Eagles, VFW, American Legion and the Old Bags of Arlington, for many years.
Ragna was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Afseth; her parents, Ed and Mary Husby; sisters, Violet, Loraine, and Evelyn; brothers, Orin, Bill, Ray and Leonard.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorothea (Cheever), of Arlington, WA, Diana (Bristow), of Dekalb, Texas; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Calvin, of Marysville, WA; also several other family members.
Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2009 and 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Thursday, April 30, at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2009, at the Cedarhome Cemetery, Stanwood.
