Leonard Arnold Husby was born to Edward and Mary Goodridge Husby on July 8, 1921 in Florence, Washington. He grew up in Florence, attended the Florence School and graduated from Stanwood High School in 1938. He passed away March 5, 2008, in Stanwood, Washington after a lengthy illness. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Donna Brudos Husby; and one daughter, Cherie Storkson of Glasgow, Montana. He is also survived by his sister, Ragna Afseth; his brother, Calvin Husby; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Leonard served in the Army Air force during World War II. He drove truck for Buse Timber for 32 Years. Leonard loved his job and missed working to his last days. He loved golf, football, baseball, music, played various instruments and had a wonderful voice. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Raymond, and Orin; sisters, Lauraine Story Kennedy, Evelyn Walls and Violet Husby.At Leonard's request there will be no services. Any remembrances may be made to your favorite charity.The family thanks the wonderful staff of Josephine Sunset who cared for him with such love in his last days.Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood, Washington.
