Mrs. Eileen Ada Barnes, 73, of 1218 Eighth Street, widow of William Barnes, Port Huon resident 40 years and member of the Free Methodist church, died Saturday (8 Feb 1958) in Mercy Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Barnes was born Nov. 23, 1884, in Lanchester, England. Eileen married a Mr. Huston who left her a widow very shortly after their marriage. She married William Barnes on June 3, 1912, in Ontario, Canada. Her husband died in 1944.

She is survived by four daughters. Mrs. Lovell Pemberton and Miss Selena Barnes, both of Port Huron, Mrs. Lewis King, Smiths Creek and Mrs. Walter Carouthiers, Sarnia; three sons, Keyworth Barnes Uvalde, Tex., Willam Barnes, Tampa, Fla., and Ephriam Barnes, Port Huron; 25 grandchildren and several great grandchildren: two brothers Harry Blake, Toronto, and Fred Blake Winnipeg and a sister Maude Rose Wellington, Ont.

The remains are in the Arthur Smith funeral home. The funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m. the Rev. Forrest Van Valin pastor of the Free Methodist Church will officiate. Burial in Lakeside.
