Selena was the daughter of William and Eileen (Blake) Barnes. She had one brother, Keysworth Barnes, and one sister, Vera Barnes Pemberton.

Selina "Sis" Barnes, 85 of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 5, 2001. She was born to William and Eileen Barnes on May 19, 1916 and contracted polio at age 2. Selina lived a very difficult life but always managed to keep smiling and was fun to be around. She had many friends at Marwood manor where she spent the last few years of her life.
She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews including Shirley and Jeline King, Taylor, MI, Maynard and Joyce King, Howell, MI, Betty Martin, Port Huron, Jim and Lois Zmolik, Port Huron, Lewis and Margaret King, AZ, Gloria Totten, FL, Paul and Linda King, Wolverine Lake, MI, and Jeanette Duncan, Kansas; and many great-nieces and great-nephews including, Lori Elisei and family, and Brenda Shetterley and family.
Selina was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Inez King and Vera Pemberton, her brother Keith Barnes, her niece and nephew Pat and George Scrimger, and her nephew, Bruce King.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2001 in Smith Family Funeral Home-North, 1525 Hancock Street. The Rev. Max
Amstutz, Marwood Manor Nursing and Rehab Chaplin, will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
