Warren Brown
Warren Brown, aged 97, died Sunday morning at the Chateau in Sharon Springs.
Mr. Brown was born October 6, 1872, in the Town of Seward, the son of Wesley and Anna (Smith) Brown. He had resided in Ames, Cherry Valley and Vicinity.
He was twice married. He was first married to Nettie Race, who later died. Later he married DeEtta Alger, who is also deceased, Mr. Brown was a former employee of the Beechnut Packing Company, Canajoharie.
Surviving are four grandchildren, Clayton Brown of Fort Plain, Herman Brown of Ravena, Joseph Brown of Endicott, and the former Nancy Brown of California; several great-grandchildren; three half-brothers, Spencer and Edward of Sharon Springs, and Wesley of Albany; four half-sisters, Mrs. Cora Jones of Cherry Valley, Mrs. Helen Houghtaling of Sloansville; Mrs. Flossie Walrath of Pleasant Brook, and Mrs. Elda Sanchez of Albany.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, from the Ottman Funeral Home, with the Rev. Myron Tripp of the United Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be later in Ames Cemetery.
