“Another victim of the disease was Forest Alexander, who’s death occurred on Thursday last, 16th inst. Mrs. Alexander is a daughter of Mr. Host and a near neighbor. She and her husband had been at the Host home to assist in the care of the sick, and he was stricken only a few days prior to his death. He had been troubled with a week heart and it was the weakness that caused his death as he had been able to be up and around only the day before. Death came suddenly while he was talking with his wife. Feeling faint he sat down upon the edge of the bed and expired almost instantly. His age was 26 years, 2 months and three days.”
