Riley Ball Victim of Heart Attack

Services for Riley Edward Ball, retired farmer, who died of a heart attack at him home near Hohenlinden, Miss., Monday, were held at the Hohenlinden Baptist Church, Wednesday, 9:30 am. The Rev. Oliver Hood officiated, assisted by the Rev. Vernon Wilson.

Burial was at the Ball Family cemetery two miles from the church under the direction of Cook Funeral Home of Bruce, Miss. Mr. Ball would have been 80 August 1.

He had lived on different parts of the same farm, touching Calhoun, Chickasaw and Webster Counties all his life.

Mr. Ball had been a Baptist for 63 years, a deacon for 50 years. He was a Mason, and had a Masonic funeral.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Virgie C Ball; five sons, Ben F. of Dallas, Texas; Kern of Columbus, Miss.; Curtis of Calhoun City, Miss.; Carl of Atlanta, Ga.; and John F of Woodland, Miss; three daughters, Mrs. Jewell Hardin of Asheville, N C; Mrs. J S Wofford of Cleburn, Texas, and Mrs. T P McCullough of Washington, D C, and one sister, Mrs. J B Wofford. There were 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
