"Mrs.Norah Kelleher.
Mrs. Norah Kelleher died at a hospital in Kansas City last Monday at 1:00 o'clock p.m., after being in poor health for some time. The lady was aged sixty-two years.
Norah Nestor was born in County Clare, Ireland, and when but twelve years of age came to America with her parents, locating in Utica, New York. She was married to Patrick Kelleher, at Springfield, Ills., some forty-three years ago and after living in that state for about two years moved to Utah. Later, and at a very early date in this state's history, Mr. and Mrs. Kelleher located at Tecumseh, and for years they conducted the Caledonia Hotel, which then stood on Clay street and which was the second hostelry to be established in this town, the Sherman House being the first. Seven of the children born to Mr. and Mrs. Kelleher are living and all were present at the funeral. In the order of their ages they were Mrs. M. C. Kelly of Greenwood, Neb.; Daniel Kelleher of Raton, New Mexico; Michael Kelleher of Swink, Col.; Mrs. Elmer Nelson of Tecumseh; Morgan Kelleher, Miss Anna Kelleher and William Kelleher of Garden City, Kan. The deceased was a sister of the late Martin Nestor of this county. Some twenty-three years ago the Kelleher family left this county and located at Garden City, Kan., which place has been their home since. Mr. Kelleher has been deceased for two and one-half years. Mrs. Kelleher was a lovely woman. She was a devoted wife and a kind and patient mother. She will be sadly missed by these children, who have the sympathy of their friends in their affliction.
The remains were brought to Tecumseh, Wednesday afternoon, and the funeral was held at St. Andrew's Catholic church Thursday morning at 10:00 o'clock, conducted by Father Thomas Barden. Interment was in the family lot in the cemetery north of the city." [The Tecumseh Chieftain, Tecumseh, Nebraska, 7 Dec 1907, Sat, p. 5]
