Longtime Fireman Burl Craig Dies; Rites Set
Former Oklahoma City fireman Burl Craig, 68, of 1209 SW 39, died Sunday at St. Anthony Hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 10 am Tuesday at Rancho Village Baptist Church directed by Vondel L. Smith & Sons Mortuary. Burial will be Thursday in Hector, AR.
Craig retired from the Oklahoma City Fire Department after 30 years. He was born in Hector and had lived in Oklahoma City since 1937. He was a member of Rancho Village Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Inez; a son, Wayne, Arlington, TX; four brothers, Olan, Okmulgee, Newl, Crescent City, CA; James of Hector, and Glenn, West Plains, MO; three sisters, Mrs. Orville (Ruth Condley, of Hector, Mrs. Walter (Floy) Robertson, Ashford, AZ and Mrs. Albert (Lorene) Coffman, Pottsville, AR and three grandsons.
Memorials may be made to Rancho Village Baptist Church or the diabetic unit at St. Anthony Hospital.
