He married Nancy Churchill on March 27, 1926, in Hector, and moved to Garber, OK. in July of the same year to work in the oilfield for Sinclair Oil Company. An Assembly of God minister, he started his ministry in 1941. He was ordained with the Assembly of God church in 1943, and pastored the Northside Assembly of God church in Okmulgee from 1957, until his retirement in 1970. He returned four years later , serving as associate pastor at Northside.
During his ministry he was a Presbyter of three Assembly of God sections in the state of Oklahoma until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Othel, Burel & Newt Craig; and three children, Wanda Abbott, James Leo, and Eulon Clisto Craig.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ruth Craig, of the home; one daughter, Kathleen White of Wetumka,Ok; three sons, Harold Craig of Norman,Ok. Farrell Craig of Richardson, TX and Dean Craig of Okmulgee,OK.; three sisters, Ruth Condley of Hector, Ar., Lorene Coffman of Pottsville, Ar. and Floy Robertson of Ash Fork, AZ. , 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 15, 1993 at the Northside Assembly of God Church in Okmulgee with the Rev. Armon Newburn officiating, Rev. Allen Lewis & Rev. Charles Capps assisting.
Interment will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery , Hector, Arkansas, at 2 pm on Thursday, December 16, 1993 under the direction of the McClendon Funeral Home of Okmulgee,OK.
Pallbearers will be Bill Craig, Bob Craig, Jon Craig, Jeff Craig, Steve Craig & Travis Cagle.
Viewing will be on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1993 from 10am to 9 pm at the McClendon Funeral Home.
