Services for John E, Nolte, 84, of 1221 Logan Ave., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Nolte was found dead at his home Sunday morning, and Dr. Paul O'Keefe, Black Hawk County Medical Examiner, ruled that he died sometime Thursday of natural causes.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Monday, and those who wish may contribute to the memorial fund of Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church in his name.
Mr. Nolte was born in Warren Township, Bremer County, Jan. 15, 1890, the son of August and Amelia Witte Nolte. He married Lydia M. Reif Oct. 19, 1922, in Sumner, and his wife preceded him in death.
Survivors include two brothers, Frank and Will; and two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Lageschulte and Miss Ruth Nolte; all of Waverly.
