Bell, 87, mother of Fred Bell of Detroit died of a heart ailment at 4:26 Friday in East Deport where she had resided with her twin sister Mrs. Lula Teague. Funeral services conducted by Dr. David A. Johnson, were held Saturday at 2 P.m. in the First Presbyterian Church in Deport of which she was a member. Burial was in the Detroit Cemetery. She was born Miss Lizzie Day, child of the late Rev. and Mrs. John H. Day, on 9 Feb. 1861 in Beech Bluff, Tenn and the family came to Texas many years ago. She was married in 1883 to John S. Bell and he died in 1935. The family lived in Detroit for many years. She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Tom Jeffus and Mrs. Albert Jackson of Deport, and Mrs. Dick Bruton of Cleveland; a son, Fred Bell of Detroit, a step-son Clyde Bell of Washington DC, a twin sister Mrs. Lula Teague, Deport, with whom she had made her home for the past 16 years, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bell, 87, who passed away at 4:45 a.m. Friday in East Deport where she had resided with her twin sister, Mrs. I. W. Teague. She had been in ill health for several months, becoming quite ill about a week ago. Funeral service, conducted by Dr. David A. Johnson, was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Presbyterian Church in Deport of which she was a member. Interment was in Detroit cemetery.
