Died of an intestinal hernia
for the past few years, he lived at the house of Mr. and Mrs. F.J. Reid on Gordon St. in Lower Miami, who were old friends of the Peterson family. His wife died seven years before him. He was born in Mesa in 1865. He worked for the Inspiration Consolidated Copper company for close to 20 years. He was a construction foreman. He was fluent in Spanish, which commanded him the respect of both the Mexicans and the Spanish natives.
