Mr. Hentz was born in Germany on January 28, 1872, the son of Mrs. and Mrs. Martin Hentz. He was married first to Katherine Przybylski, who died on December 15,1936. He then married Martha Bankert on July 25, 1937.
Surviving besides his wife are seven children, Mrs. Anton Jagodzinksi, of Wisconsin Rapids, Rev. John Hentz Jr, of Holcombe, Tony Hentz, Mrs. George Messing, Edward Hentz, Mrs. Harold Novack and Marion Hentz of Wisconsin Rapids; a half brother, Joseph of Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Pauline Benkowski of South Milwaukee and five half sisters, Mrs. Mike Dolan of Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Martha O'Brian of FLint, Michigan, Mrs. Curtis Crotteau of Wisconsin Rapids, and Mrs. Agnes Fowler and Antoinette Hentz, both of Wausau.
