Thomas Hoover was the son of:
Thomas Jefferson Hoover, b. Nov. 30, 1842 in Tippacanoe (or Fulton) County, IN. and d. Apr. 29, 1901 in Frankfurt, Clinton County, IN. Thomas was a Union Army soldier. &
Lucy Ophelia Hoskinson, b. Jul. 10, 1844 in Marietta, Washington County, OH. and d. Aug. 27, 1934 in Kellerton, Ringgold County, IA.

(*Note: Lucy married first, Thomas Jefferson Hoover on Jun. 24, 1864 in Alexandria, MO. They divorced soon after. Their son, Thomas Hoover, was b. Mar. 15, 1865. Thomas marr. second, Amanda Gentry on Sep. 9, 1865.
Lucy married 2nd, George Mackey, b. 1818 in VA. George was a widower with nine children, some of whom were as old as she was. They married Sept. 15, 1867 in Clark Co., MO. - probably Alexandria.)

2) Alice Margaret Hoover, b. Sept. 24, 1897 in Eugene, Lane Co., OR. and d. Dec. 26, 1972 in Bandon, Coos County, OR. Alice married Charles Franklin Wooldridge.
3) Clifford Ellis Hoover, b. Sept. 14, 1905 in Walla Walla, Washington and d. Sept. 3, 1922 in Walla Walla, Walla Walla county, WA..
Clifford died eleven days before his 17th birthday from a tonsil operation.

About 1897, Thomas became very ill and moved from the Willamette Valley to Hot Lake, OR.
