Frances Effie Jane Hargis was the daughter of John Samuel Hargis and Mary Huldah Toney. She was the sister of James Noah Hargis, Nancy Lavina Hargis Page, Worthy Hargis, who died young of pneumonia, and Laura Hargis Hunt. She was the mother of Olomon H., and Mary Oleta, with her her first husband, Harry M. Freeman, whom she divorced in about 1930. She was married several times thereafter, to a Jones, Linebaugh, and O.B. Downs (1949). She lived her final years in Springfield, Missouri, near her son. She was a grandmother to seven children, and thirteen great grandchildren. Rest in peace.
