She was born Dec. 9, 1880 at Hayton, Calumet County, daughter of the late Otto and Julia Delaport Luehrs. She attended school there.
On Dec. 3, 1912, she married Mr. Schmidt. He died March 18, 1940.
Survivors are a son, Robert of Appleton; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Urban of Manitowoc; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and a half-brother, George Luehrs of New Holstein. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were at the Pfeffer Funeral Home in Chilton, The Rev. John Lutze, pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, officiating. Burial was in New Holstein City Cemetery.
