Hannah Andrew Hiatt and Americus V. Hiatt were married 24 Apr 1858 in Clinton County, Ohio. Hannah and Americus had 3 known children. Ida Bell Hiatt Crouse b: 1859-Indiana, Sarah Jane Hiatt b: 1862-Ohio and Alonzo A Hiatt b: 1861 -Ohio. The 1860 Federal Census of Washington Twp, Randolph County, IN has Americus, Hannah and Ida Bell Hiatt living with Samuel and Mary Hiatt, Americus's parents. Americus "Mack" died in 1862. He is buried with his parents and brother, Alonzo, in Randolph County, Indiana. Hannah and her children appear in the 1870 census living with her father, William Andrew, and brother, Wilson, in Mt. Pleasant, Henry County, Iowa. It is assumed that upon her father's death in 1870, Hannah moved her family west to Guss, Taylor Co, Iowa. Brothers Wilson and William were farming one county NE of her. Guss is in the NE part of Taylor Co.
In the obituary of Mary Jane Hiatt Lundquist, it is stated that she moved with her parents to Alva, OK in 1904. In fact, she went with her mother to Alva to visit her brother, Alonzo. From Hannah's obit, it seems that mother and daughter came to Alva as Hannah was very ill. While at her son, Alonzo's home, she died.

Friday, June 3, 1904, pag 8 col. 1 Hannah A. Hiatt died at the home of her son, A.A. Hiatt, at 8 o'clock yesterday evening, aged 70 years six months. Funeral services were held at the house at 9 o'clock this morning by Rev. Alvin Coppock, of Cherokee. She was a sufferer several months before the end came. The cause of her death was a complication of diseases and old age. Mrs. Hiatt was a devoted christian woman, and loved by all who knew her, and while her death was not unexpected it was a sad blow to the near relatives. The many friends of the family extend to them their heartfelt sympathies in their sad affliction. Renfrew & Gadbois embalmed the body, which was shipped by the noon train to Villisca, (Montgomery Co) Iowa, for burial, accompanied by her brother and sister, and her son, A.A. Hiatt and wife.
