Mr. Jeffreys was a native of Colbert County, an Army war veteran, and he was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the V.F.W.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Thomas Jeffreys; father and mother, U. Grant and Ollie Grissom Jeffreys; brothers, Archie B. and Willard H. Jeffreys; sister, Betty Dean Jeffreys; father- and mother-in-law, Tom and Libbie Logan; and brother-in-law, Dennis Logan.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Jeffreys, Leighton; sons, Danny Joe Jeffreys, Steve Jeffreys, both of Leighton, and Ronnie and wife, Felicia, Jeffreys, Tuscumbia; daughter, Kathy Sue Luallen, Leighton; sister, Sally Jean Sizemore; seven grandchildren. .
