A quiet but beautiful home wedding was that of Miss Ruth Bell and Mr. Thomas Rackley of this city at high noon on Tuesday, February the 10th, the twenty-fifth anniversary of the bride's parents.
The home was very tastefully decorated in the white cut flowers and ferns.
Lohengrin's Wedding March was played by Miss Lila Rackley, sister of the groom. Miss Georgia Bell entered first becomingly gowned in a gray triolete with a satin hat to match and wearing a corsage of pink Killarney roses. E. H. Blount, Jr. came next wearing a little white suit and holding the ring in a white carnation. The bride and groom entered together. She was very smartly dressed in a tailored suit of dark blue tricotine with blue and tan hat and small face veil. She wore a lovely corsage of white rose buds and valley lillies.
The wedding ceremony was impressively performed by Rev. H. M. Fugate, pastor of the Tatnall Square Church of Macon Georgia.
After the ceremony a delightful salad course was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Rackley left for points in Florida, expecting to return home in a week or ten days.
Only immediate families were present.
