BODEY, JR., Edward Thomas (E.T.), 74, of Manchester died Saturday, April 26, 1997, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn., following an extended illness. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, he was the son of the late Edward Thomas and Juanita Spann Bodey, Sr. He was a retired electrician at AEDC, a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer, serving from 1940 to 1960, and a member of First Baptist Church in Manchester. He is survived by his wife, Lola Bodey, Manchester, Tenn.; three sons, Wayne Thomas Bodey, Chattanooga, Tenn., Timothy Eugene Bodey, Augusta, Georgia, and Donald Edward Bodey, Tampa, Florida; two daughters, Bonita Lola Bodey, Tullahoma, Tenn., and Donna Lynn (Mitz) Pierce, McMinnville, Tenn.; two sisters Louise Reynelds and Vivian Smith both of Cropwell, Alabama; six grandchildren, Isaac, Caitlin, Lorrie Beth, Timothy Eugene Bodey, Jr., Ashley and and R.J. Pierce the fifth, and three step-grandchildren, Jeff, Brian and Morgan Starkay. Funeral services were held on April 29, 1997 at Coffee County Funeral Chapel, Dr. Brenton Cox officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Coffee County, Tenn. Coffee County Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
