CORNELISON, Mary Vina, age 87, of Manchester, passed away Monday afternoon, October 6, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Cornelison was born in Boa Alabama, the daughter of the late Ira Vann, Sr. and Edna Kelley Vann. She was retired from Powers Market in Manchester, where she worked in the meat department for 28 years. Mrs. Cornelison was a member of the Bushy Branch House of Prayer Church in Manchester. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Rufus Lee "Pete" Cornelison, who died in 1995; by her step-mother, Nannie Vann; by 3 brothers, Ira Vann, Jr., Louis H. Hendrix Buel Vann; and by one sister, Willa Dean Adams. Her survivors are 4 daughters, Linda (James) LaRue of Manchester, Patricia Gayle (Richard) Fuller of Manchester, Brenda Faye (Mickey) McNeese of Tullahoma, Vina Lee (John) Darden of Manchester; 4 sisters, Ella Pearl Newlin of Mancester, Carolyn Jonas of Manchester, Faye Galligan of Manchester, Evangeline Floyd of Manchester; 2 brothers, Thurmon Vann of Manchester, Talmege Vann of Arkansas; 7 grandchildren, Ronald LaRue, Domick LaRue, Richard Fuller II, April Fuller, Rufus Darden, Vann (Lori) Darden, Oliva Darden. For those who wish to make memorial donations the family suggests: The Coffee County Educational Foundation c/o Judy Spears, 1343 McArthur Dr., Manchester, Tn 37355 or the Multi County Cancer Support Network. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Manchester Funeral home Chapel. Burial followed in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Manchester Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
