Evelyn Fisher, 88, longtime area realtor and business woman, passed away at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2008, at her home.
Evelyn was born July 17, 1919, in Westville, Ill., to Leo and Gladys Rogers Harrier.
She married S. Deneen "Dean" Fisher Jan. 7, 1938, in Covington, Ind. "Dean" passed away Sept. 9, 1997.
She later married Herschel Hooker in 2000, he passed away in 2004.
Survivors include: two sons, Lee (Bette) Fisher of North Fort Myers, Fla., and John (Paula) Fisher of Tavares, Fla.; one brother, Kenneth Harrier of Minnesota; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Marjorie Kavanaugh; one niece, Carol Holaves and her son, Michael Bratton; her longtime friend, Louise Hart; special friends, Helen Dillon, Clyo Wright, Virginia Stewart and all her Westville girlfriends. Thanks to all her caregivers over the years as well.
Evelyn owned and operated Fisher Real Estate office for 38 years and an Eastern Star member for more than 50 years. She enjoyed dancing, Gaither concerts, traveling to Branson and wintering in Boyton Beach, Fla.
