Mrs. Switzer retired from the Purdue University Sweet Shop after 35 years of service. Her hobbies were crocheting and reading.
Surviving with her husband are four daughters, Debra Branham (husband: Thomas) of Lafayette, Ratona Warnock of Houston, Texas, Joni Ross (husband: Chuck) of Indianapolis and Jill Smith (husband: Dave) of Franklin. Her mother, Leona Mae Cornell Osborn, preceded her in death. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She loved her Lord and spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved poodle, TJ. Betty was truly loved by all who knew her. She had a big heart and reached out to those in need. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Betty's family would like to extend a deep gratitude for the many caregivers who freely gave of themselves to make the difficult journey of her passing peaceful -- the staff of Rosewalk Village, St. Elizabeth Hospice, Ludi Ortiz and Erica Gordon.
